How does the process work?
Start by completing the enquiry form or emailing photographs and details of your watch.
An initial assessment will be provided where possible. Once the watch has been received and inspected, a final quotation will be provided before any chargeable work begins.
Can I bring my watch in and wait while you look at it?
Whiteley Watch Repairs operates as an independent workshop rather than a high-street walk-in repair counter.
Mechanical watches require careful inspection and are not normally assessed while customers wait. Please contact me in advance to arrange delivery or collection.
How much does servicing cost?
Mechanical servicing starts from £170, with vintage watches and more complicated movements priced individually following assessment.
How long does a service take?
Standard mechanical servicing generally takes 3–6 weeks.
Vintage watches, complicated movements and repairs requiring specialist parts may take longer.
Do you service vintage watches?
Yes. Vintage mechanical watches are an important part of the workshop, with particular interest in Swiss mechanical movements and vintage Seiko and Japanese watches .
Do you service Omega?
Selected Omega movements are accepted following assessment. Please send photographs and the reference/calibre details where available.
Do you service Rolex, Patek Phillipe, Audemar Piguet?
servicing on these brands is not currently offered.
12-Month Workmanship Warranty
Mechanical servicing and repairs are covered by a 12-month warranty against defects in workmanship and installed parts, subject to the terms and exclusions below.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of watch repair and restoration services, all completed work is considered final. Parts installed and labour performed are non-refundable once the service has been carried out. All repairs are covered by a 1-year warranty on workmanship and installed parts. If you experience an issue related to the repair within this period, please contact us so we can assess and, where applicable, correct the problem.
